Triple Crown Marine Construction, LLC

Providing residential and small to mid-range commercial marine construction within the Northern Virginia and Hampton Roads areas

Our Beginning

A strong work ethic, innovative problem solving, attentive service and quality craftsmanship are the driving forces behind Brian Fletcher’s success with Delta Marine Construction LLC, north of the York River.   The same entrepreneurial spirit spearheaded the formation of Triple Crown Marine Construction LLC, a separate independent company to service the marine construction needs in the Virginia Beach and surrounding Hampton Roads area.

Business Principles

Our goal at Triple Crown Marine Construction, LLC is to manage all projects with integrity and professionalism so that every client is well-pleased with our communication, service, and finished product.

Scope of Services

Triple Crown Marine Construction, LLC specializes in residential and small to mid-range commercial projects.  Whether you need complete turnkey project management in these size projects including design, permitting and construction or only construction, we can handle your project.

Phase 1:  Design

We take pride in the fact that we focus on innovative solutions and pay close attention to details.  One size fits all is not part of our vocabulary.  By working closely with designers and several engineers throughout Virginia and helping you think through the details of your property improvement, we strive for a finished project in which our customers are well-pleased and impressed that such attention was given to details such as lowered level swim platform for grandchildren, a designated area for a dock box and crab pots, or a fish cleaning station.

Climate, body of water, storm conditions, land topography are factors that are analyzed in determining the type of marine construction best suited for your property and these are thoroughly communicated to the project designer or engineer.

Phase 2:  Permitting

The permitting process involves time and working closely with Virginia Marine Resource Commission, the Corp of Engineers, County and City wetland boards, and to ensure construction minimally affects the environment and it meets code.  With years of marine construction experience, Triple Crown Marine Construction, LLC knows how to work with these levels of regulatory departments.

Phase 3:  Construction

Custom Craftsmanship:  We are dedicated to providing excellent craftsmanship.  In a business where corners can be shaved and quality sacrificed without near term repercussions, we recognize that approach is a poor long-term business model.  Our goal is to provide the best workmanship now, so you’ll be pleased when we complete the job, as well as, in the future.

o    Construction Integrity: One example of our commitment to quality construction is our refusal to use poles or pilings with less than an eight inch tip because the pier can better withstand storms and resist ship boring worms which reduce the integrity of the wood.

o       Environmentally Friendly Construction:  Considering all environmental aspects of a project is imperative and this is why our project managers work closely with County inspectors and engineers ensuring that we follow proper erosion control guidelines.

o    “Green” Dock:  We can design an eco-friendly “green” marine project.  It is constructed out of recycled or direct ship materials.  Using recycled materials helps keep consumer waste out of the landfills.  Direct ship materials are building products that are shipped directly from the manufacturer t the job site, thus reducing unnecessary pollutants and wasted gas from extra freight traffic.

o       Geomat System:  We offer a new product that is being used for bank stabilization which significantly improves water runoff and soil erosion.  The Geomat System is a mat that is rolled out with an earth anchor.  Steep slope embankments that are susceptible to landslides and runoff can benefit from this new technology.  Another aspect of the Geomat System is that sod can be applied to the mat and vegetation can be planted directly through the mat.  Roots from these planting grow through the mat making it stronger and providing extra coverage from runoff and erosion.

o       Boat Lift Installation:  To meet our customers’ needs, we install all brands and sizes of boat lifts on the market today.

o       Boat Lift Maintenance and Service:  All boat lifts should be serviced annually and Triple Crown Marine Construction provides maintenance and service on all makes and models regardless of whether we installed the lift.
